AIGA DC, the local chapter of the professional association for design, interviews Jared Mezzocchi

Visiting Professor Jared Mezzocchi, projection designer in TDPS, answers questions about  challenges, projects, curriculum, etc.

"I am creating a curriculum in projection design within the TDPS (Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies)...My overall goal in the program is to create designers who can speak about their ideas with sensitivity and awareness to the already-succeeding theatrical process, as well as be masters of their technology engineering and hardware rigging; to be educated in the total process. Projection design is a new field in theater, and I aim to educate students to be good communicators that support and enhance the storytelling, and not just glitz in the background."
