Our very own Associate Professor, Brian MacDevitt, is among the biggest talents in theatre, film, tv and music with is nomination for a 2018 Tony Award. Congratulations to Brian on being nominated for Best Lighting Design for "Carousel".
The American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards salute excellence in Broadway theatre with The Tony Award, which is considered the highest U.S. theatre honor in the industry. Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
Brian is already a five-time recipient of the Tony Award for Best Lighting Design for Book of Mormon(2011), Joe Turner's Come and Gone (2009), The Coast of Utopia(2007), The Pillowman (2005), and Into the Woods (2002); OBIE, Bessie (with Tere O'Connor), Lucille Lortel, Outer Critics' Circle, Hewes, and Drama Desk Awards.

The 72nd annual Tony Awards, hosted by Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban, will be broadcast June 10 on CBS, live from Radio City Music Hall.
