Interdisciplinary Collaboration with Speakeasy DC

Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies MFA and MA/PhD students came together in a day-long workshop to kick off the 2013-2014 school year. Students gathered into small groups, consisting of new and returning students, mixing designers, scholars, and dancers.

Two trainers from Speakeasy DC, a local group specializing in storytelling and performance, worked alongside students to bring narrative ideas into a multi-dimensional perfromance. This day of explorative collaboration culminated with story presentations alongside a reception to kick-start a welcome back for TDPS grads.
