Students and Alumni Attend Broadway Basics Workshop in New York City

On January 12, 2016, students and alumni of the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performances Studies visited New York City to attend an all-day workshop on stage management.

On January 12, 2016, students and alumni of the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performances Studies visited New York City to attend an all-day workshop on stage management.

Led by TDPS Production Manager and stage management faculty Cary Gillett and Production Coordinator Cate Barger, the six students and two alumni participated in the "Broadway Basics" workshop during the day, which was led by the stage management team from “Wicked.” That evening, each person shadowed the stage manager of a different Broadway show. The participating shows were “Wicked,” “Les Miserables,” “Finding Neverland,” “Hamilton,” “Something Rotten,” “Noises Off,” “Allegiance,” and “Phantom of the Opera.”
